The Antics Joke Show

‘Up The Antics’ are celebrating their launch with a blockbuster showcase full of sketches, improv and stand-up from comedians across Bristol.

** Sketches from UP THE ANTICS **

‘Up The Antics’ is a sketch and improvisational comedy group from Bristol, U.K. Established in 2014 as ‘The VA’ by graduates from Bath Spa University, as a company they have performed in and hosted a variety of live performances all over the country, including Bath Comedy Festival, the Southampton Comedy Fridge, and in various venues across London and Bristol. They also release regular episodes of their original sketch radio show ‘Pipped at the Podcast’, and have worked in association with Wilbee Productions to create ‘Frack Off’, an original YouTube sitcom series.

Collaborating with friends and local artists, ‘Up The Antics’ will showcase their bizarre and silly take on popular culture, social conventions and nerd nostalgia.

** Improv from THE INHERITANCE **

‘The Inheritance’ are a new and exciting improv group from Bristol. Largely performing long-form improv, this group are sure to bring an excitingly unpredictable set to Cafe Kino.

Stuart Goldsmith is an internationally award-winning comedian, with a reputation for smart, accessible comedy. His enthusiasm and charm conceal a quick wit, honed by a youth gloriously misspent as a street-performer.

He's an "expert stand-up" (Sunday Times), a Malcolm Hardee Award winner, and a triple Chortle Award nominee.

A dab hand with a one-liner, he excels in sculpting deft vignettes about love, romance and the downside of getting what you want.

Rosalind Beeson is a new stand-up comedian from Stratford-Upon-Avon. She is a successful comedy writer who has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and her material is guaranteed to be a great crowd-pleaser as she brings her unique charm to Bristol.
