Worriedaboutsatan / Sunset Graves / Thomas Ragsdale

This Is It Forever and 3rd & Debut Records present an evening of completely live eclectic, electronic music from three UK breakthrough acts.
Just £3 on the door.

worriedaboutsatan are a Yorkshire based electronica band who incorporate swirling ambient melancholia, skyscraping post-rock guitar atmospherics, and pounding slo-mo techno.

Since starting life as a bedroom project back in 2006, the band have won acclaim from the likes of Pitchfork, Drowned in Sound, Resident Advisor, FACT and many more over their near decade long career.

The band has always retained a strong DIY ethos, and pride themselves on being very much a live act, rather than just another electronic project with a laptop. They’ve so far shared stages on tours and supports with a diverse array of musicians, such as Ólafur Arnalds, Clark, Dälek, 65daysofstatic, Tim Hecker, Pantha du Prince, HEALTH, Kiasmos, and many more.

Sunset Graves is the core music of Andy Fosberry, additionally releasing diverse side projects of Lo Grounds, tpique and Giant Deth through his 3rd & Debut Records Label.

His acclaimed 2016 album 'In Blood' was released in March and has recieved support from BBC6 Music via Maryanne Hobbs, Tom Ravenscroft and Gideon Coe, with online features and track premiers across Clash Magazine, Data Transmission, Hyponik and Shout4Music.

It’s already been a busy 2016 for Sunset Graves - touring with Thomas Ragsdale in March plus extra shows in the capital and supporting Three Trapped Tigers. With a new wave of label releases locked in for the summer its time to venture back out on the road. You can expect his live performance to be a heavy, percussive and eclectic range of soundscapes. With four albums in three years behind him, this late summer show is a chance to hear mostly all new material, all performed live - all hardware - all in the moment.

Manchester based composer Thomas Ragsdale melds cinematic electronica with organic, immersive soundscapes.

Spending his formative years composing a varied catalogue of music for TV, film and advertising companies, his gradual shift into the world of performing solo music is one that's quickly won acclaim from the likes of Resident Advisor and FACT.

Having composed and released soundtracks for feature films premiering at Film4's prestigious FightFest and EPs with lavish packaging backed with personally intimate subject matters, Thomas' music evokes spacious resonance and emotional response.

His approach to writing and producing is built around a minimalist framework, choosing to rely heavily on organic instrumentation overlaid with subtle electronic elements, whilst live performances take on a more visceral approach with tense peaks of sound in front of a full live visual show.

Ragsdale is also a member of electronica outfit worriedaboutsatan and a producer of dance floor heavy techno as Winter Son. The music produced under his own name wanders through introspective, pared down soundscapes, which evolve from fragile ambience to crushing intensity.
