Sam Green is an independent Surf Roots artist from The UK. With a brand new album released in 2017, he is an Artist keen to share his music with the world.

As a touring musician, Sam has travelled far and wide all over the UK and Europe under his own name since 2010. After having played guitar and written music in numerous Alt-Rock Americana inspired bands since his early teens; Sam took a long backpacking trip around South America and returned home in 2010 with a note book full of songs, inspired to get out on the road and play his new music as much as possible.

Sam's percussive, acoustic slide guitar style, combined with stomp box and harmonica, have served as a foundation; on which he has built a strong reputation as a live act with universal appeal. His one-man-band shows are raw, intimate offerings of virtuosic slide guitar, percussive rhythms, engaging song writing and a soulful, blues inspired voice.

His travels have taken him and his music to some of the most highly respected venues and music festivals in the world. In 2013 Sam played Glastonbury festival where he and his band were described by The Independent News Paper as "One of the hot new acts making the summer swing". Since then, he has been described as a "Great talent indeed" by Bristol After dark and his recent solo performance on BBC Introducing in Devon was described as "One of the best sessions we've had this year."

March 2017 saw the release of Sam’s first full length solo album ‘Just Stand Still’ a record which tells the story of coming home to his beloved North Devon and laying down roots on which to start a new chapter. The album features eight new songs written at home on his 8-track recorder and developed over the space of a year where Sam had the time and space to create, surf and recover from a hectic few years of non-stop D.I.Y touring. The album was finally recorded and produced at Pound House Studios near Braunton  under the guidence of producer and drummer Steve Tanton.
